Terms of Service
Please read these terms carefully before using First Tech Federal Credit Union's services.

These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you and First Tech Federal Credit Union ("First Tech," "we," "us," or "our") governing your use of our services, including our website, mobile applications, and all related products and services.
By accessing or using First Tech's services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not access or use our services.
These Terms apply to all members, visitors, and others who access or use our services. Additional terms may apply to specific products or services, and those terms will be disclosed to you when you apply for or use those products or services.
First Tech membership is open to individuals who meet our field of membership requirements, which includes employees and family members of our sponsor companies, residents of certain geographic areas, and members of qualifying associations.
To become a member, you must:
- Be at least 18 years old (or have a parent/guardian co-sign)
- Provide valid identification
- Provide your Social Security Number or ITIN
- Open a savings account with a minimum deposit of $1.00
- Meet our eligibility requirements
By opening an account with First Tech, you agree to:
- Provide accurate and complete information
- Maintain a minimum balance as required for your account type
- Keep your contact information current
- Safeguard your account credentials and report unauthorized access immediately
- Review account statements and report errors within 60 days
- Use your account only for lawful purposes
We reserve the right to close accounts that are dormant, have excessive overdrafts, or are used for illegal purposes.
Our electronic services, including online banking, mobile banking, and bill pay, are subject to additional terms:
- Access: You must enroll and maintain valid credentials to access electronic services
- Security: You are responsible for maintaining the security of your login credentials and devices
- Availability: Services may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance or technical issues
- Mobile Deposit: Subject to deposit limits and verification processes
- Bill Pay: You authorize payments to designated payees; canceled payments must be requested before processing
Fees associated with your accounts and services are disclosed in our Fee Schedule, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. Current fees include, but are not limited to:
- Insufficient funds/overdraft fees
- Wire transfer fees
- Stop payment fees
- Account research fees
- Paper statement fees (for certain accounts)
We will provide 30 days notice before implementing new fees or increasing existing fees, as required by law.
View Complete Fee ScheduleIf you have a dispute regarding your account or services, we encourage you to contact us first to resolve the issue. If we cannot resolve your dispute informally, you agree to the following dispute resolution process:
- Informal Resolution: Contact us within 60 days of the issue
- Mediation: If informal resolution fails, either party may request mediation
- Arbitration: Disputes not resolved through mediation may be submitted to binding arbitration
Class Action Waiver: You agree that any dispute resolution proceedings will be conducted only on an individual basis and not in a class, consolidated, or representative action.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, FIRST TECH SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH THESE TERMS OR YOUR USE OF OUR SERVICES.
Our total liability for any claim arising under these Terms shall not exceed the greater of $100 or the fees paid by you to First Tech during the twelve months preceding the claim.
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the Federal Credit Union Act, applicable federal regulations, and the laws of the State of Oregon, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
First Tech Federal Credit Union is chartered and regulated by the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA) and is subject to federal and state laws governing credit unions.
We may modify these Terms at any time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by posting the updated Terms on our website with a new effective date, and when required by law, by sending you direct notice via email or online banking message.
Your continued use of our services after the effective date of any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree to the changes, you must stop using our services.
